PACT & The AFC's Sharing Circle for Artistic Directors

  • DATE: February 27 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm EDT
  • FEE: FREE for Members / FREE for Non-Members
  • VENUE: PACT Zoom
  • OPEN TO: Artistic Directors of PACT Member Companies

Facilitated by Amanda Smith, Community Engagement Coordinator for The AFC

PACT and The AFC come together to create a virtual peer support group for artistic leaders of PACT member companies.

These meetings offer artistic leaders an opportunity to connect with others who are navigating common industry challenges and managing similar personal stresses. The focus is ensuring that artistic directors can gain insight from each other as we continue to face unprecedented times due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mental health support will be made available by The AFC during the group meetings to provide a safe(r) space and answer mental health questions that might arise. This virtual meeting space is designed as a confidential community platform for artistic directors to share experiences, exchange ideas, problem-solve, and feel personally supported in the crucial roles they play in Canada’s theatre industry.

Amanda Smith, Community Engagement Coordinator at The AFC and Artistic Director of FAWN Chamber Creative, will facilitate the meetings, and one of The AFC’s social workers will provide mental health support.

This session is open to Artistic Directors and those in comparable roles at PACT member companies. There is no cost to participate, and the group size is kept small to allow for participation and engagement.
