Apply for a Travel Subsidy to PACTcon 2026 in Whitehorse
OVERVIEW
The PACT Travel Subsidy is funded by the membership to support the cost of travel to PACTcon 2026 for attendees who could not otherwise join the gathering.
Most years, the total amount requested exceeds the money available. We make our best efforts to provide some support to those in need, with subsidies typically ranging from $300 to $750. The amounts offered depend on the quantity of donations, the volume of requests, and the location of the conference.
WHO CAN APPLY
The PACTcon Travel Subsidy is for PACT Members.
Regular, Commercial, Affiliate Members and Organizational Colleagues will be prioritized.
To help our limited pool of funds stretch further, we ask that applicants:
- Apply for one delegate per company only.
- Plan for your company to contribute towards the expected expenses.
- Travel Subsidy recipients must register for the conference in order to qualify for the travel subsidy. You are welcome to use the pay-what-you-can-afford Early Bird Rates as needed.
- The Travel Subsidy does not cover hotel costs.
When determining subsidy amounts, we aim to align with PACT's strategic priorities and broaden the diversity of voices at PACTcon. If the agenda for the Annual General Meeting (AGM) includes voting on a negotiated agreement, we try to help Regular Member companies (the signatories to those agreements) that need support to send a delegate to the vote.
Additionally, we will prioritize:
- First-time attendees
- Applicants from smaller companies
- Applicants from rural or remote regions
- Applicants who would be the sole attendee from their company
IMPORTANT DATES
January 7, 2026 - Travel Subsidy applications are open.
February 6, 2026 - Travel Subsidy applications close.
Week of February 9, 2026 - Travel Subsidy notifications go out.
March 16, 2026 - PACTcon 2026 Early Bird Registration Deadline.
