Members Vote to Ratify Proposed Canadian Theatre Agreement

Toronto, Ontario. (June 1, 2024) – The Professional Association of Canadian Theatres (PACT) announce their members voted to ratify the proposed Canadian Theatre Agreement (CTA) with Canadian Actors’ Equity Association (CAEA). 

“There was a lot of hard work and important discussions had, and that there are more conversations ahead,” said Brad Lepp, PACT Executive Director, “we appreciate the effort from both sides to find not only an agreement that works for our members and for artists but that works towards sustainably rebuilding our industry” said Brad Lepp, PACT Executive Director.

PACT expresses its gratitude to its Core Negotiation Team Kendra Bator, Lyndee Hansen, Lisa Li (Co-Chair), Natasha MacLellan, Lori Marchand, Alison Peddie, and Nancy Webster (Co-Chair) for all their hard work and dedication. PACT also thanks the many members who were called upon to participate and provide consultation during the negotiation process. 

The vote took place at PACT’s Annual General Meeting in Montreal, Quebec on June 1, 2024. CAEA members still to hold ratification vote.
