Many natural systems move in cycles of loss and renewal, at odds with capitalism’s imperative for endless growth. The cones of B.C.’s lodgepole pines only release their seeds under the extreme heat of a forest fire. This adaptation means they are ready to grow soon after the destruction.

After three years of calamity, what new seeds are we planting in our field? How can we regrow a more diverse and resilient sector? At PACT’s national gathering, we’ll get our hands dirty and start the long process of regeneration.
