The Citadel is one of the largest not-for-profit theatres in North America, drawing patrons from a large geographic region that includes the greater Edmonton area as well as central and northern Alberta.

Job Description

Call for Resumes: Props Builders

The Citadel Theatre is accepting resumes from experienced and emerging Props Builders interested in future opportunities within our production department. We are continually seeking talented individuals with a passion for storytelling through the design, construction, and management of theatrical props.

We welcome submissions from individuals with skills in:

·         Prop construction using wood, foam, fabric, metal, and mixed media

·         Scenic painting and finishing techniques

·         Soft goods fabrication and upholstery

·         Sourcing and adapting found objects

·         Collaboration with designers and production teams

·         Safe and efficient workshop practices

Ideal candidates will have:

·         Experience working in professional or educational theatre environments

·         Strong problem-solving and time management skills

·         A creative and flexible approach to building and adapting props

·         Familiarity with production and rehearsal processes
