Advocacy Update: Tax Credits and the Live Performing Arts Accelerator
The concept of a Live Performing Arts Tax Credit has been gaining traction over the past 18 months, in part due to concerted advocacy done by the Creative Industries Coalition, of which PACT is a leading contributor.
Following feedback and consultation with bureaucrats and elected officials, a focused proposal has taken shape and is advancing with the support of the Minister of Canadian Identity and Culture, and is aligned with the policy objectives of this government. While there is lots of work to do, we feel the time is ripe for new industry support tools.
Hosted by PACT Executive Director Brad Lepp, and in conversation with Shelley Stevenson (Administrative Director, Stratford Festival), this session is an opportunity to understand details around the proposal, hear updates on the advocacy efforts, and determine if this is something you and your organization would like to support. More guests will be announced soon.
Questions submitted at registration will help make the best use of our time together.
The session is taking place on Wednesday April 15, 2:30pm ET - 3:15pm ET. Register by Tuesday April 14 to ensure you receive the meeting link.
