Stage Manager

Since 1965, The Charlottetown Festival has been the largest theatre festival in Atlantic Canada, committed to creating new Canadian works and promoting the country’s vibrant musical theatre scene.

 

The Position:

The Stage Manager will stage manage Million Dollar Quartet (MDQ) which will play on the Sobey Family Theatre stage.  Directed by Artistic Director Adam Brazier, MDQ will run 4 times per week in rep with Tell Tale Harbour.  The Stage Manager will only be working on MDQ but there may be understudy tracks for the season to be confirmed.  This position reports to the Managing Director, Theatre.

 

Sobey Family Theatre is a Category A house with a pay scale starting at $1,563.50

 

Dates:

Prep week:           May 5, 2025

First rehearsal:     May 12, 2025

Preview #1:           June 17

Opening:                June 19

Closing:                  Aug 30

 

The Ideal Candidate:

•          Will have a strong musical theatre background

•          Will have worked in large, unionized theatres

•          Will have excellent organizational, communication and computer skills
