Job Description

The Production Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations and financial administration of the production-related areas for the Canadian Stage.

Key Relationships

  • Member of the Production Department.
  • Reports directly to the Director of Production and Operations.
  • Assists other members of the Production Team as required.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing the daily operations of the Canadian Stage production office.
  • Planning, coordinating and executing pick-ups ups and deliveries for the department, using a company or rented vehicle. This position requires regular driving, mainly within the city, but occasionally outside of the local area.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and bookings of the production vehicles.
  • Working with Netsuite, our financial accounting system, to enter Purchase Orders, contract payments, and to track expenditures.
  • Generate contracts for Production Designers, Stage Managers and other various production personnel.
  • Assists in managing the facility schedule for all spaces.
  • Assists in Coordinating the rentals of the Berkeley Street Theatres.
  • Assists in Coordinating the rentals of the Rehearsal hall, lobby spaces & shops.
  • Acquire supplies for general operation and maintenance of the Production Department.
  • Coordinating, executing and maintaining Production based show archives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Production and Operations.

Requirements:

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, communicative and multi-tasking management skills.
  • Excellent ability to set priorities and meet time deadlines.
  • A valid G class (or higher) driver’s license is essential, with a clean driving record. Experience as a driver for work purposes would be an asset.
  • Self-starter and creative problem solver.
  • Proficient with computers, including spreadsheet programs and accounting processes.
