Responsibilities

Before applying to PACT, please review the below as well as the PACT Membership Recruitment Policy, and the PACT Membership Termination Policy.

In order to receive maximum member benefit and to participate fully and in accordance with PACT's objectives and principles, all PACT Theatres are expected to:

  • Attend regional meetings.
  • Respond to both regional and category representatives seeking information to bring to board meetings.
  • Inform regional and category representatives on any issues which may affect PACT members, including labour relations legislation, changes in government policies, lobbying opportunities, etc.
  • When possible participate in PACT - organized events such as advocacy activities.
  • Respond to PACT committee questionnaires, e.g. research for Human Resources in Canadian Theatre or other publications and initiatives.
  • Pay dues in a timely fashion.
  • Inform staff and board of the theatre company about PACT and its activities.
  • Attend the Annual General Meeting. (Only Regular and Commercial Members have voting privileges.)

And all PACT Regular, Commercial and Associate Members are required to:

  • Abide by standard contracts established by PACT with CAEA, PGC, ADC and APASQ.
  • Respond to PACT Labour Relations Committee research queries.
