Advovacy/Public Education

PACT provides a united voice for Canadian theatres and works to influence cultural policy at all levels of government to help raise the profile of PACT, its members and live professional theatre in Canada. PACT strives to educate stakeholder groups - members, potential members, the theatre community, government and funders - about its range of services and programs accessible to all professional theatres, both diverse and traditional.

The Advocacy Committee directs PACT's ongoing advocacy agenda to educate and inform stakeholder groups as well as the general public.

In addition, PACT's Cultural Diversity and Membership committees work to protect and promote diversity within theatre and within the PACT membership so that all professional theatre artists and all forms of professional theatre can thrive.
